For contractors that prefer the Ditch Witch style drill rod connector (Latch Style), but desire the strength and rigidity of a 1" diameter drill rod shaft for straighter drilling and control, BorePro has developed a new heavy duty series of drill rods that are interchangeable with Ditch Witch horizontal drill rods and tooling.
The heavy duty rod shafts and connectors are manufactured from chrome-moly tool steel that is heat-treated to an average tensile strength of 153,000 psi for strength, toughness and rigidity.

Clip-Type Drill Rods (CASE/Astec Connector)

BorePro's ROTO-BORE® drill rods are now available with "clip-type" CASE* connectors.
Our Clip-type drill rods feature the same high quality, heat-treated, solid chrome-moly steel shafts used in our popular push-button type drill rods. The Clip-type hex shanks and sockets are also manufactured from the same high quality, solid chrome-moly steel for strength and toughness. Average tensile strength of these drill rods is 150,000 psi.
Clip-type drill rods are available in 5 ft. and 10 ft. lengths, and with 7/8" or 1" diameter shafts.
